In a groundbreaking move, Dodge has unveiled its highly anticipated 2024 Charger lineup, featuring the world’s first and only electric muscle car – the Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack. This pioneering vehicle is set to redefine the muscle car segment, combining unrivaled performance with eco-friendly electric power.
Boasting an astounding 670 horsepower, the Charger Daytona Scat Pack can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in a mere 3.3 seconds, solidifying its position as the world’s quickest and most powerful muscle car. The electric powerhouse also delivers the fastest quarter-mile time among its peers, clocking in at an impressive 11.5 seconds. With an estimated range of 260 miles on a single charge, the Scat Pack proves that electric vehicles can offer both performance and practicality.
Alongside the Scat Pack, Dodge introduced another all-electric variant, the Charger Daytona R/T. This model offers a slightly lower but still impressive 496 horsepower and boasts an extended estimated range of 317 miles. Both the Scat Pack and R/T models are equipped with fast-charging capabilities, allowing them to gain an estimated 8.1 and 9.9 miles per minute, respectively, when connected to a 350-kW fast charger. This feature ensures that drivers can quickly get back on the road without lengthy charging delays.
For those who still crave the traditional roar of a gas-powered engine, Dodge has not forgotten its roots. The 2024 Charger lineup will include the Charger Sixpack models, powered by advanced Hurricane engines that deliver superior horsepower and torque compared to the outgoing 5.7- and 6.4-liter HEMI engines. These gas-powered options will continue to satisfy the demands of the “Brotherhood of Muscle” while embracing cleaner-running technology.
All 2024 Charger models will be equipped with cutting-edge infotainment systems, featuring customizable 12.3-inch touchscreens that provide seamless access to a wide range of media, including SiriusXM, TomTom navigation, and Amazon Alexa. Additionally, an optional augmented head-up display will be available, projecting crucial information onto the windshield for improved driver convenience and safety.
Production of the two-door coupe versions of the electric Chargers, the Charger Daytona Scat Pack, and Charger Daytona R/T, is set to commence in mid-2024. The four-door versions of these models, along with the gas-powered Charger Sixpack H.O. and Charger Sixpack S.O., will enter production in the first quarter of 2025. All 2024 Dodge Chargers will be built at the state-of-the-art Windsor Assembly Plant in Ontario, Canada, ensuring the highest quality standards are met.
The launch of the 2024 Dodge Charger lineup is a significant step forward for parent company Stellantis, aligning with its ambitious Dare Forward 2030 strategic plan. This plan aims to reduce Stellantis’ global carbon footprint by 50% by 2030 and achieve net carbon zero by 2038, positioning the company as a leader in the transportation industry’s sustainability efforts.
As the automotive world continues to evolve, Dodge has proven that it can adapt and innovate while staying true to its performance-driven heritage. The 2024 electric Charger lineup represents a new era for muscle cars, combining unparalleled power and efficiency to create a driving experience like no other. With the introduction of these groundbreaking vehicles, Dodge has solidified its position at the forefront of the electric vehicle revolution, setting the stage for a thrilling and sustainable future in the automotive industry.
