Reliance Industries’ Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani has been ranked number one among all Indians and second globally in the Brand Finance Brand Guardianship Index 2024. The annual index compiled by Brand Finance recognizes CEOs leading their companies sustainably by balancing stakeholder needs.
Scoring 80.3 out of 100, Ambani retains his top Indian ranking from 2023. He has moved up to second place globally, behind only Tencent’s CEO Huateng Ma who scored 81.6.
Ambani ranks ahead of several top global CEOs including Microsoft’s Satya Nadella, Google’s Sundar Pichai, Apple’s Tim Cook, Tesla’s Elon Musk and others. He also leads Indian CEOs such as Tata Group’s N Chandrasekaran and Mahindra’s Anish Shah.
The Brand Finance index analyzes perception, performance and promotion factors reflecting a CEO’s ability to act as guardian of their company’s brand and long-term value. Ambani scores highly as a sustainability focused leader driving strong growth, returns and societal impact.
